We do not store your search queries on our servers

Search Queries

When you perform a search, your query is sent to our server, processed by OpenAI's API to generate recommendations, and then discarded. We do not log or store your search queries. However, please note that OpenAI may process and retain data according to their own Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

To provide search results and analytics, we use the following third-party services:

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (page views, traffic sources, device types). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
OpenAI
Search queries are processed through OpenAI's API to generate recommendations. Queries are sent securely and are not stored on our end.
TMDB, Google Books, iTunes, RAWG
We use these APIs to enrich search results with images, ratings, and links. No personal data is shared with these services — only search terms derived from AI results.
Cloudflare
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of their infrastructure. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to save your language preference. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Content Ownership

All content displayed in search results — including movie posters, book covers, album art, game screenshots, titles, descriptions, and ratings — belongs to their respective owners, creators, publishers, and rights holders. FindByDescription does not claim ownership of any third-party content.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
